For World Book Day this year, we could come dressed as a book character, in our pyjamas, or in our own clothes. We also had to bring in our favourite books which we wrote book recommendations for. These will go into a folder in the classroom for everyone to access.
On Friday 14th February, Year 3 and 4 had their Greek Day. This linked with our recent learning about Ancient Greece which we will be continuing after half term.
We came dressed in Greek outfits/colours (including the teachers!).
Firstly, Sycamore class made a Greek Salad. We had previously explored Greek Salad ingredients and designed our own in our DT lessons.
Next, we made some Ancient Greek inspired headdresses using different shades of green paper.
Our final activity was a Ancient Greek style escape room which included having to escape from a labyrinth where the Minotaur was kept! We had a range of different puzzles to solve and also had to use the Greek alphabet to help us.
We all had a great Ancient Greek Day!
As part of our Trust Science Fair, we worked in pairs to come up with an investigation question linked to forces, carry out the investigation and create a poster about it. We then had to present our posters to the rest of the class. The investigations and presentations were all amazing and Mrs Williams had a very difficult decision to make as only 2 pairs could compete in the in-school final which will take place during the assembly on Monday 24th February.
Well done to Ava and Elouise and Will and Joseph!
