Across the school, we encourage children to have a voice in our school; to share the views of others; and to make a difference to our school.
Children are encouraged to write a speech outlining why they should be a member of a particular council and their peers then vote for someone they feel would represent their class in the roles.
There are many councils. These include:
Community Councillors
Sports Leaders
Eco Councillors
School Councillors (Anti-Bullying Ambassadors)
This year our School Council are also our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors who will be someone their peers can go to if they think they or someone they know are being bullied.
We are a Telling School, and the Ambassadors will then share the information with their class teacher.
This year, we will also be thinking of fundraising ideas for the school to put towards something specific. They will also be speaking to our new parents at our Open Morning.

We have close links with our local community and we want to continue to build and strengthen these links. Our Community Councillors write for the local KBS News each month. They also help to organise the Food Bank Larder and Christmas Hampers for our families.
We want all of our children to be active at breaktimes and lunchtimes. The Sports Leaders organise and look after the play equipment. They also are key to ensuring our Sports Day runs smoothly and efficiently.
