John Blandy’s School Council is made up of a group of students who have been elected by their peers to represent the views of all pupils in order to improve the school. It meets regularly and encourages good communication between children and staff to help make a difference for all who belong to our school.
Our 2018-2019 School Councillors are:
Elm - James and Ellie
Horse Chestnut - Tom and Emily
Walnut - Zak and Lucy
Sycamore - Henry and Lucie
Maple - Toby and Phoebe
Willow - Alex and Delanna
‘This week School Council members went to the Faringdon Academy Student Voice meeting. When we got in we sat down on different tables and took turns to say what our School Council is doing this year. Each table had a leader and they helped us discuss different ways of being healthy. Then we played a game of Buddy Bingo where you have to ask each other questions about what you like and see if they like the same thing, then you write their name in the box on your sheet but can’t write the same name down more than once. We really enjoyed going because we did lots of fun activities and we met lots of children in other schools that in are in our Academy. We also talked to loads of new people, older and younger.’
