To the wonderful Horse Chestnut Class,
As we now reach the last week of Year 2 (can you believe it!), we just wanted to say what a pleasure it has been teaching you this year. We have missed your smiles, dedication to learning and all the laughs we use to have in class whilst you’ve been learning at home and can’t wait to see those of you that can make Thursday afternoon for our end of year celebration.
Thank you for all of your hard work with home learning. We have been extremely proud of how you have all coped during this tough time of school closure. It has been a very challenging year and you have impressed us week by week with the brilliant pieces of work you have sent in. We also wanted to say a huge thank you to all your parents as they have taken on the role of your teacher at home and supported you during this time. We know you are getting tired now, so this week we want you to get outside for a week of fun activities and outdoor learning! The PDF attached has some suggestions and challenges but we are sure you might have some great ideas too!
Have a wonderful, fun and restful summer. Make sure you get outside to explore, play, exercise and create memories as well as keeping up your daily reading! We can't wait to see you again around school next year, when you will have all grown and matured into super Year 3 students.
The Horse Chestnut Team xx
