Below are two stories that are free to access for you to share at home.
At home, there are so many ways to help your child to be kind and to develop confidence and build resilience. For example, play board games, puzzles, card games and electronic games. Don't forget we can't always win, or get our own way! So, support your child by showing how you react when you lose a game and allow your child to lose occasionally .
Encourage your child to make suggestions of what they would like to play or do and take turns to do each others activity for 5 or 10 minutes.
Enable your child to undertake chores or have a family rota to look after various aspects of your family household.
At school we undertake Mindfulness. This is a fantastic skill to have as an adult or child, that enables us to be calm in a given moment.
If you wish to delve further into Mindfulness, there are various books, websites and videos explaining and supporting Mindfulness. However, below are a few examples you could start with if you wish to continue Mindfulness at home.
