    Day 5 – Friday 12th June 2026

Once we had finished packing and had our breakfast, we headed off to the beach in our waterproofs to do some rock pooling, beach art and have a little paddle in the sea. We all had great fun, and it was a fantastic end to our week at Kilvrough!

    Day 4 – Thursday 11th June 2026

Despite the wet weather today, we all still managed to have lots of fun during our activities, which today were either canoeing or climbing and abseiling.

The teamwork was very evident in the groups that were canoeing and those who were climbing and abseiling showed fantastic bravery and resilience. They also encouraged their team members with the challenges they faced.

This evening has been spent packing and getting ready for a coastal walk and visit to the beach tomorrow before we head home.

    Day 3 – Wednesday 10th June 2026

Another fun-filled day of activities today – 2 groups went canoeing, whilst the other 2 groups went caving. The children continued to show fantastic determination, resilience and bravery, and the adults were all impressed with the continuation of wonderful teamwork and encouragement.

After dinner, which was a chicken roast, our evening activity was further developing our orienteering skills from yesterday to explore the Kilvrough grounds further – even heading into some of the woodland areas in the grounds to find some of the checkpoints!

    Day 2 – Tuesday 9th June 2026

We woke up bright and early to start our day today. After breakfast, we were split into our activity groups and started to get ready for the day's activity. Today, 2 groups were caving, and 2 groups were climbing and abseiling.

We thoroughly enjoyed these activities, and many of us stepped out of our comfort zone and showed fantastic bravery, determination and resilience. The adults were very impressed.

When we got back, we had some free time before our dinner, which was pasta bolognaise. Today's evening activity was orienteering around the Kilvrough grounds – we worked in groups of 4 and had 15 questions to answer overall. We had to use a map carefully and explore the grounds to answer each question.

    Day 1 – Monday 8th June 2026

We set off on the coach from school at around 8:15am and started the journey to Kilvrough, stopping at some services for a break on the way. We especially enjoyed listening to and joining in with the music, our teddies even had a dance too!

Just after 12pm, we arrived safely at Kilvrough. We quickly got settled before eating our lunch. This was then followed by an afternoon of problem-solving and teamwork-building challenges in our activity groups.

After our delicious dinner, which was fish fingers, mash and baked beans, we went on an evening walk to Pennard Castle. The view was magnificent.

Overall, we have had a great day and look forward to our activities tomorrow.
