We returned to school to be greeted by some snow! What fun we had making snowballs, snowmen and snow angels. We loved seeing our playground covered which enabled us to also explore mark making in a new medium.

Back in class we have been enjoying the story of the three little pigs and building houses using a variety of materials. Some fantastic models were made using junk modelling, lollipop sticks and the construction bricks. We loved pretending to be the wolf and trying to huff and puff our creations down!

This term we returned to Forest School with Mrs Nichols where we have enjoyed spotting the signs of Spring, looking for bugs and birds and building dens. We have heard lots of beautiful birds singing as they fly past our Forest School and we found lots of worms.

This term our topic is growing so we have begun to plant some beans and flowers in Forest School as well as growing potatoes and cress in class. Watch this space to see what we do with all the things we are growing!
In maths, we have been looking at more and fewer and building staircases to show that each number is one more than the previous number. Here are some examples of wonderful staircases we made using the multi link cubes.
