Science:

During our science we have been exploring the different parts of plants. We created our own plants and labelled them using the small parts!

English:

As part of our English work, we watched Bubbles, a film about a girl who feels sad until she finds some magical bubbles on the beach. We stepped into her shoes and acted out the moment she discovered them. The class had an amazing time bringing the story to life.

 

                

 

Science:

We’ve been exploring microhabitats in our science learning, and it’s been amazing to discover how many tiny creatures live all around us. We have been enjoying using the small world resources to design our own habitats fit for a variety of different animals!

During our minibeast hunt, we found worms, beetles, woodlice, spiders, and lots of other small animals hiding under logs, leaves, and stones. We lifted a piece of loose bark and found the juiciest, green slugs!

Art:

We have been looking at the artist Katie Scott. She creates beautiful illustrations of natural objects. We took inspiration from Katie and did some of our own observational drawings. Look at how impressive they are! We have also been learning how to mix colours; we used water colour to make the secondary colours.
