Year 3/4 Victorian Day
As part of our history learning this term, we all came to school dressed as Victorians and experienced what life as a Victorian school child may have been like. We had to sit in rows and work in silence all day! We sang the National Anthem, did some handwriting in chalk and chanted poems and multiplication tables. Other activities throughout the day included colouring the Union Jack; doing a 'Drill' on the playground for our exercise; sewing for the girls and technical drawing for the boys. We tried hard not to get the Dunce's hat!
In Geography this term, we have been gaining confidence in using an atlas to locate countries. This week, we identified some human and physical geographical features of the UK, Gibraltar and Jamaica before discussing their similarities and differences.
