Maple and Willow classes had a fabulous time at Coleshill. It increased our knowledge of British espionage in World War 2 whilst having fun. We had to wear dark clothes and eat a rationed lunch (which was actually quite tasty). We were spies for the day. We went into an underground bunker (called an Operational Base) and the guardhouse. We did some physical training with a scramble net and tested our throwing accuracy with pretend hand grenades. We experienced how to find and use Dead Letter Drops in the orchard and looked at code breaking and Morse Code messaging. We had a really fun day and we learned a lot about British spies and their training.
