    Maths

Year 1 have been exploring capacity through hands-on learning! The children have been busy filling, pouring, scooping and comparing using lots of water, rice and pasta. It has been a fun and practical way to develop their understanding of capacity while making plenty of exciting discoveries along the way!

    Elm Class Get Creative Outdoors!

Elm Class have been loving spending time outdoors and getting creative in the fresh air! Inspired by the wonderful landscape paintings of J.M.W. Turner, the children took their watercolour paints outside to explore colour, light and the beauty of the world around them.

They experimented with blending colours, creating washes and using different brush techniques to capture the changing skies and landscapes. It was wonderful to see the children taking inspiration from Turner while developing their own unique artistic styles.

We are so proud of their creativity, enthusiasm and beautiful artwork!
