PSHE - NSPCC: Speak out, Stay safe
Following our NSPCC assembly and lesson, we created posters including what we have learnt, key information for Childline, and a picture of the NSPCC mascot, 'Buddy'.

Science (levers, pulleys and gears)
First, we made levers using rulers, pencils (as the pivot), a weight such as a rubber, and a pompom. Then, we explored gears and investigated how they work. Finally, we created our own pulleys using plastic bottles, string, and wooden skewers.

Harvest art
In the lead-up to the Harvest Festival, Maple Class painted pumpkins and decorated them with patterns. We thought carefully about the colours we chose and the placement of our patterns.

Here are our final pieces:

STEM Experience Day at Atlassian Williams Racing
On Friday 10th October, we had a fantastic time on our trip to Atlassian Williams Racing for a STEM experience day.
Our visit started with a guided tour around the museum.

After this, we had a short break before heading to our next activity which the simulators! We all had great fun and loved racing against each other.

After lunch, our afternoon activity was a composite materials workshop where we had the challenge of creating nose cones in teams. We learnt about what nose cones are and why they are important in F1 before creating our own and presenting what we had made. We also enjoyed testing their crumble zone.
