Task 1: Reading, spelling practice and maths focus practice (make sure this is recorded in your homework book!)

Task 2: practise your lines for the play and the song lyrics (these can be found in the PDF at the bottom of this page). The songs can be found on Spotify or YouTube by typing in ‘Edgy Productions Gigglebox’.

Task 3: WW2 inspired task. Choose one of the following tasks for each day.

You do not need to submit your work; however, we will open an assignment on google classroom if you wish to submit anything for us to have a look at. Alternatively, we would be more than happy for you to bring in anything you wish to share with us.

End of SATS week celebration

Following our final paper, we marked the end of SATs week with a well-deserved celebration to recognise all the children’s hard work and perseverance.

The children enjoyed sweets and fizzy drinks, and later, after lunch, were delighted with ice creams kindly provided by the Friends of John Blandy. We would like to extend our sincere thanks for their generosity — the ice creams were very much appreciated by all!

Year 6 Junior Citizens

On Wednesday 29th April, Year 6 visited Junior Citizens at Oxford Fire Station. The children were split into eight groups and rotated around eight different rooms, each led by professionals from a variety of services, including the Police, Fire and Rescue Service, Great Western Railway and Trading Standards. Through these interactive sessions, the children learnt about safety, responsibility and how to handle and get help in real-life situations. The visit was both informative and engaging, and the children represented the school very well.
