On the 20th March the children watched their first solar eclipse! They had made simple viewing devices from card, paper, tubes and carboard boxes to make sure their eyes were protected from the suns harmful rays.
We were surprised how cold it got- we had to go inside and get our coats! The birds stopped singing and it looked as though a huge storm was brewing...
At exactly 9:34am, when the eclipse was at its climax, a cloud came across and shielded our eyes from the sun. We were ALL able to see the eclipse at it's full glory with this very helpful cloud!
Memories that will last forever.
